Banff & Canmore After Dark: Meet the Towns' Other Residents

You've hiked the trails, soaked in the hot springs, and snapped the postcard views. But have you heard the stories that our beautiful mountain town keeps after sunset?

We're a small, locally owned business. The staff are local. So are the ghosts! Banff Canmore Ghostwalks offers a new way to see the town: on foot, in the evening (after dark in the fall…we can’t control the sunset), through the tales that locals have whispered about for generations. Each tour weaves chilling encounters together with real Bow Valley history, so even the most committed skeptic walks away with something. Come for the ghosts, stay for the history, or the other way around. We won't tell.

And who says that spooky season has to be crammed into October? We run tours May 1 to November 30. That's six glorious months of goosebumps without all the cold weather!

Looking for something different for your group? Private tours are available and make a memorable choice for team building, birthdays, bachelorette parties, and special events. It's a great icebreaker, too, since nothing brings people together like a good scare…Especially when you can come together to figure out who screamed first. (It was Kevin from accounting. It's always Kevin.)

Tours are accessibility friendly and suitable for kids 8 and up, so the whole crew can join in!

Whether you're a visitor looking for a one-of-a-kind evening or a local who thinks you know every corner of town, there's more to discover here than meets the eye.Sometimes it's history. Sometimes it's… something else.
