Biathlon Canada Aims For The Olympics 

Across communities large and small, countless young Canadians grow up embracing winter. They learn to
love the outdoors, and for many, skiing becomes a defining part of their identity.

Inspired by the Olympic performances of previous generations, today’s emerging biathletes—sixteen exceptionally dedicated athletes—are preparing to embark on international tours with the goal of carrying that legacy forward. They are perfecting their ski technique, mastering the art of precision shooting, and committing themselves fully to the pursuit of excellence.

Behind every athlete is a unique story and a personal journey to the National Team. Many come from small towns across Canada, each contributing to a new and exciting chapter for Biathlon Canada. Together, these athletes embody a fresh era of determination, growth, and national pride.

In recent years, Biathlon Canada has undergone meaningful transformation. Guided by a renewed
leadership team, the organization remains devoted to its mandate of Empowering Biathletes to Thrive at
Every Level, while encouraging Canadians of all ages to rediscover the childhood joy of striding through the
snow.

Now, the organization is poised to inspire the next generation.

As the team looks toward potential Olympic starts this winter, strong performances on the World Cup and
IBU Cup circuits reflect the continued upward trajectory of Canadian biathlon. These athletes share a
collective dream: to one day stand on the podium for Canada.

Today, Canadians have a unique opportunity to honour the country’s proud biathlon history whilesupporting a promising new generation of athletes.

A Call to Support these athletes.

To help achieve these goals, Biathlon Canada has launched a campaign on December 2nd, aiming to raise
$50,000. These funds will directly support current athletes’ Olympic aspirations and help spark a passion
for biathlon in young athletes who may one day compete on the international stage.

Donations will support several vital initiatives, including: hosting national training camps, delivering high
performance programs, supporting wax technicians, sending athletes to international competitions. In the
face of increasing financial pressures across the sport landscape, support from the community has never
been more essential.
