Canmore Miner's Day Reunion & Parade July 12, 2025 

Canmore’s history is founded on mining, which supplied coal to the CPR trains’ traveling to and from Canada’s West Coast.

Canmore Mining Company, operated for 93 years…from July 14, 1886 and closing on July 13, 1979.

Annually, Canmore Miner’s Day honors this rich community heritage with a parade and reunion for the direct descendant’s, their families and friends.

The Lady of Honors this year is Patricia, Tricia Zboya.

She moved to Canmore in 1950 as her father came to work for Canmore Mines. Tricia grew up with her 2 sisters, Maureen and Lorraine, and her brothers Kenny & Mark. Tricia married Don Zboya after graduation in Canmore.

Tricia was an active member with the Catholic Church and enjoyed the sports of figure skating, basket ball and curling.

Please give her a big wave as she passes by in the parade.

This year’s Parade starts at 12 noon. The route begins at the Civic Center, through the rear of the Civic Center on 6th Ave. turning right to Main Street, and turning at 7th Ave, Canmore Hotel intersection, and terminating at Civic Center Plaza.

The Canmore Hospital Ladies Auxiliary (CHLA) will be serving a fundraising lunch of pulled pork sandwiches and soft drinks at the Civic Center Plaza , generously provided by Origin at Spring Creek, with the buns supplied by Fergie's Bakery. 12-2pm.

The CHLA is a community volunteer fund raising organization, and thank you for your donation.
