Festival of Trees: Enjoy Canmore's Rotary & The Malcolm Hotel's Holiday Celebrations

You will feel it!

You will smell it!

You will see it!……. that first bar of a Christmas tune, that first tingly feeling as you say to yourself, “ahhhh Christmas!”, the scent of pine, cinnamon, and cookies, the snow falling gently out your window. In Canmore, the annual Festival of Trees presented by the Rotary Club of Canmore and the Malcolm Hotel tells us the season is upon us.

The work begins the first week of December when the local businesses and community organizations vie for a top spot in all things Christmas tree décor. Whimsical, beautiful, clever, traditional, and honouring, our tree competitors work hard to create corridors of wonder at the Malcolm Hotel.

Once the halls of Christmas beauty are created, and the community begins to wander throughout the greenery, the Festival has arrived. Join in on the holiday celebrations as there is something planned for everyone.

A Senior’s Christmas Afternoon tea for our most respected citizens is held, featuring tea and treats, music and prizes on Wednesday, December 14, 1pm to 3pm. Make it a special day.

You and your children can attend a Holiday Extravaganza of crafts, goodies, games and stories for kids of all ages on Sunday, December 11, 10am to 3pm.

This is a Free Event but registration requested.

A Spirits of Christmas Tasting experience presenting, fine wines, whiskeys, spirits, craft beers, curated hors’doeuvres, and of course laughter will be happening Friday, December 9, 7pm to 10pm. Come get in the Spirits!

And, finally for our families just before Christmas, there is the annual Breakfast with Santa. A classic event with a buffet breakfast, live entertainment, dancing, and a visit from Santa. There will be great photo opportunities available. Happening Sunday, December 18, 10:00am-Noon.
