Every picture tells a story.
Photography by Pam Doyle has documented a vast variety of events in and around the Bow Valley and beyond.

With many years of experience as a professional photographer, Pam Doyle enjoys running her own business offering photography for weddings, family portraits, conventions, events and sporting competitions.

Based in Canmore, where she has lived and worked as a photographer for the past 22 years, she knows all of the great photography locations in Canmore, Banff, Kananaskis and Lake Louise, as well as in Jasper.

She started her career as a fulltime newspaper photographer, working for daily and community newspapers in Manitoba, Alberta and Vancouver, B.C.

“There is always something new to learn about photography,” she said.

She also offers heli-weddings, where the bride, groom, photographer and commissioner fly in a helicopter to a remote area in the backcountry and land on a scenic mountaintop for photos. And she photographs local weddings in such beautiful hotels like the quaint A Bear and Bison Canadian Country Inn in Canmore, and the Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff, to name a couple.

“I offer wedding photography packages starting with two hour elopements to 10 hour full days of photography from getting ready shots to the cake cutting and first dance,” Doyle said.

“And one hour family portraits outdoors with marvelous mountains in the background.”

“I also really love to photograph sports events and conventions,” she said.

In her spare time, Pam skis, hikes, skates and swims.

“This winter I volunteered as a Sled Dog for the Lake Louise World Cup,” she said. “It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. And I met the awesome volunteers.”

She also volunteers at the Bow Valley SPCA in Canmore, taking dogs who need an exercise break away from the shelter for a fun walk outdoors.
