The Legendary Canmore Hotel: Legendary History~ Legendary Music 

The legendary Canmore Hotel (est. 1890) is a landmark destination in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. At 133 years in 2023, the Canmore Hotel is our towns oldest operating business.

Now legendary, the Hotel has seen the birth of our town, fed and watered the horses and the dogs, and urged its peoples who came to make their dreams come true.

From the beginnings of the great railway, our first coalminers, the integration of multiculturalism, world wars, epidemics, booms and busts, the Olympics, Bollywood to Hollywood, floods and fires, fights and friendships, the legendary Canmore Hotel has seen it all.

Within our current generations, the Hotel has become synonymous with live music.

Our legendary stage hosts weekly live, local music as well as some of Canada's greatest indie musicians and songwriters as they tour the country. Our revered stage continues to be one of our proudest achievements.

Burgers, brisket, pork and poutine are the favourites here, along with a few choice locally brewed pints and spirits!

We serve cans of Pilsner & PBR as well as Jager and Jack on ice, for our much loved locals and those who like to keep things easy for the barkeeper!
