Get ready for Theatre Canmore's wonderful fall and Hallowe'en family friendly events. We're starting the season with a Haunted House rendition of "Hamlet", presented in a unique family friendly way.
Our season opener is "Haunted House Hamlet: An Adaptation of Shakespeare's Classic", Adapted and written by Peter Eliot Weiss and directed by Amanda Liz Cutting
Presented by Theatre Canmore + Artist's Collective Theatre, playing October 20-22 7:30 p.m. at Canmore Collegiate High School. 2pm Matinee on Sunday October 22nd.
Create your own experience with Jimmy in this classic ghost story. Follow Shakespeare's Hamlet story; follow Ophelia into her grave; stay in one spooky location or boldly follow your impulses as the characters and action take over the Haunted House. At the performances of "Haunted House Hamlet" we will be auctioning off this incredible set of ceramics by local artist Jena Gatto of Gatto Designs + H.E.L.L.C.A.T. Clothing Creator and Official Free Thinker of The World.
Jena is a mixed media artist originally from Toronto. She loves creating unique ceramics, wilderness weavings and reclaimed textiles from found objects by her Canmore home. It’s the most wonderful time of the year — and in celebration, Theatre Canmore is bringing “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” to the stage in Canmore. The show puts audience members in the ficticious radio studio for WBFR’s 1946 Christmas Eve radio broadcast of “It’s a Wonderful Life” by Joe Landry.
