The Canmore Folk Music Festival is a community that has come together since 1978 to celebrate music, community & our stunning backdrop. Every year Artists, volunteers, and guests from all over the world come together to share an experience that cannot be recreated anywhere else. Over the Heritage Day long weekend in August Canmore’s Centennial Park becomes the heart of a community, a heart that beats with 30 or more artists on four stages, fueled by unique food vendors, and inspired by talented Artisans. In addition to the classics the Canmore Folk Music Festival, Family Area offers a range of activities from children’s musicians to hula hooping and everything in between. Take a collection of phenomenal artists and put them together in front of one of the most beautiful backdrops in Canada and listen to the unique kind of magic that can only be found in Canmore.
