Clique Hotels & Resorts – 25th Anniversary 

2023 marks our 25th year in business, and we couldn't be prouder of this significant milestone. We want to take this opportunity to celebrate and express our gratitude to our loyal customers who have supported our brand throughout the years.

We are also very proud to have received the Travelers’ Choice Award for each of our hotels this year. The recognition comes based on reviews and ratings collected over the past year and places each of our hotels in the top-ranked 10% of hotels worldwide on TripAdvisor. This is no easy feat and is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the Clique Hotels & Resorts management and employee teams.

Clique Hotels and Resorts is a Hotel Management and Hotel Ownership company based in Canmore, Alberta. Our portfolio includes properties in Canmore and Calgary, Alberta, and Whistler, British Columbia.

Our journey began in 1998 when Jim Muir, our President, started Summit Resort Management, the parent company of Clique Hotels and Resorts. Jim's remarkable career progression from working his way through school to managing hotels in the nineties exemplifies his dedication and ambition.

Today, we are a thriving company with well-established operations in Western Canada's most desirable locations. Jim's common sense understanding of full-service hotels has always driven us to go above and beyond to ensure our guests feel welcomed and their expectations are exceeded. While the basics of a hotel room remain the same, Clique Hotels distinguishes itself by offering a variety of well-appointed, clean, and up-to-date accommodations, ranging from standard-style suites to condo-style apartments. Every detail, including linens and slippers, is meticulously thought out to enhance the guest experience.

Stewart Winterburn, our Vice President of Hotels and Development, and Edward Keenan, Vice President of Resorts, have been with us since the beginning. Their innovative and forward-thinking leadership ensures that our properties remain in high demand. At Clique Hotels & Resorts, we run a tight ship, ensuring every aspect of our operation, from Human Resources to Housekeeping, Front Desk, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage, operates effectively and efficiently.

Our employees play a crucial role in our success. We prioritize their well-being, offering opportunities for growth within the brand and supporting a healthy work-life balance. As a result, we have cultivated long-lasting loyalty among our staff, a rare achievement in an industry known for high turnover and transient workforces. Many of our employees have been with us for over 10 or 20 years.
