Usually, eating at Murrieta’s in Canmore is an “elevated” experience, with their dining room located upstairs, over looking Main St. But for summer, they are making it easy for you to check them out. Enjoy the tastes of summer on the Murrieta’s patio.

When the days are warm and the sun shines till near bedtime, it’s natural to be outside more. With hotter temperatures and physical activity, we still need to eat but often we crave a dining experience that is fresh and light, with flavors that taste like a summer party.

Murrieta’s summer menu offers a variety of seasonal flavors with their ingredients sourced locally from Alberta farms and producers.

Some great starters or lighter options that you’ll find on the menu are the Trio of Dips and the Fried Brussel Sprouts.

The Trio of Dips offers a Red Pepper Feta, an Eggplant Dip, and a Roasted Garlic Hummus served with fresh baked flat bread. This is perfect when you want a little of everything but you’re not ready for a big meal. These dips would pair well with a Peach Bourbon Smash, one of Murrieta's signature summer cocktails.

The Fried Brussel Sprouts are roasted and tossed in a maple chili glaze with toasted spiced almonds. It seems that brussel sprouts are all the rage nowadays; definitely not resembling the squishy, bitter bites some of us grew up with. Murriet’s signature Sprouts are the real deal. They are sweet and warm with a bit of crunch. They are a snack that you can feel good about. Order them with on of Murrieta's Mountain Sours and you’ve got the start to a summer party!

And, nothing says summer like a Caprese Salad. With alternating layers of vine ripened tomatoes, fresh basil, and smooth fior di latte, married with a drizzle of balsamic reduction, it’s fresh, organic, and delicious.

A great summer dinner can be found in Murrieta’s Salmon entrée. Roasted to
perfection, it is moist and tender, placed atop a bed of couscous and a spread
of red pepper feta puree. It is accompanied by a chunky tomato cucumber salad
that reflects farm fresh flavor.

If you saved room for dessert, there are many decadent options, but when sticking to
the lighter side, you might opt for the Affogato. This vanilla gelato bathed in
espresso will top off your palate while giving you a pick me up for what else is
to come.

Where there are some great new signature dishes, Murrieta’s house favorites can still be found on the menu. You can still enjoy the lamb meatballs, Scallop Fettucine, and Alberta Beef sandwiches and steaks.

There are kid friendly options of pizzas, a burger, and delicious sandwiches with mocktails and craft sodas.
