Event Description
StoryMusic presents a unique storytelling chamber music concert for all ages, featuring a new version of the traditional fairytale - with a surprise ending! This concert was first available by video from January 2021 as a Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Education Concert.
Alto Julie Freedman Smith narrates and sings this unique version of Little Red Riding Hood accompanied by Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 95.
Be a part of this unique and engaging experience. The show is most suited to elementary school-aged children, but created for all to enjoy.
This 55-minute free concert will take place at the Canmore Seniors Association’s Creekside Hall. Stringed instrument discovery zoo to follow (pending health recommendations).

Based in Calgary, StoryMusic brings short and sweet storytelling concerts to Alberta families and schoolchildren. Their original stories are brought to life in this concert by narrator Julie Freedman Smith, artistic director/writer/violist Liza Scriggins, cellist Andrea Case, and violinists Genevieve Micheletti and Diane Lane.
