Are you inspired by the view of Canmore’s spectacular Rocky Mountains, but don’t feel the need to climb Ha Ling Peak or even hike to Grassi Lakes? Is a short, in town, flat trail more your speed? If yes, then these easy walking loops are for you!

Introducing six short, easy walking loops starting from Main Street Canmore. All walks are flat, and vary, from quiet forested trails to the open vistas of ‘The Boardwalk’ wetland loop, to the busy ‘Rail & Trail’ loop next to the Canadian Pacific Railway line. The distance of the six walking loops varies from 1.3 km to 5.6 km.

All walks feature truly stunning views in all directions, special landmarks, and unique history. Try the walking loop that appeals to you or try all six loops.

All six walking loops start from the Big Head, located at Main Street and Policeman’s Creek, just west of The Drake Inn.
