Cross the third bridge over the creek and and proceed west to the intersection of 1 Street and 3 Avenue, at the south end of the South Canmore district. South Canmore streets were laid out on a north-south / east-west grid pattern as part of the original 1885 town plan.
Walk two blocks along 1 Street, turn south on 5 Avenue for one block, to Millennium Park, a popular destination for local and regional sports teams. Millennium Park is the site of magnificent fireworks displays every New Year's Eve and July 1 Canada Day.
Pass the bike skills park at the southwest corner of Millennium Park, to the Bow River side stream. Walk upstream to the main channel and stop at the large pedestrian bridge over the Bow River, immediately south of the road bridge.
